So I'm planning to finally start watching Arrested Development, and I have a question about Season 3's end, specifically in regards to the following seasons. I already know that Seasons 4 and 5 are not considered good by the majority of people, and Season 5 ending on a cliffhanger was my main barrier of entry into the show. But I remember seeing somewhere that the creator said Season 3 wrapped up the series creatively, and that at that point (during the first hiatus), the show had no more creative legs.
So what I want to ask the truth about this. More specifically, did Season 3 end in such a way that it could theoretically be the series finale, with all plot threads resolved? Or will I need to watch Seasons 4 and 5 in order to get more plot resolution from those first three seasons?
