I understand that there are many many people that identify as both aromantic and asexual I get that, but I want to see more purely aromantic representation. Asexual is getting normalized. People know what that is but because it’s so often paired with aromanticism people hear aro and automatically go oh aro ace you just don’t like sex. I need people to know that they are two very different things. I don’t understand why there is, not enough representation for people who are just aromantic not asexual like we’re out there and we exist and even within this group I don’t see a lot of people who are just aromantic or like a minority are there other people out there or does aro always come with ace ?
I try to put aromantic characters in my writing (did this before I had even acknowledged it myself. There were signs.)
