I have a great relationship with my girlfriend and I wouldn’t give that up for anything. Last we talked about it she’s monogamous and not comfortable with me dating anyone else.
I’ve always been very close with my best friend and I’ve finally admitted to myself I want a QPR with her. I don’t know if that’s something she would be interested in. More importantly, I don’t know if my girlfriend would be ok with it.
At the end of the day is a QPR even different enough from a close, long time friend to validate the effort it would take to talk all this out?
I don’t think it would really change what our relationship looks like.
Who do I even present the idea to first… or do I go on pretending I’m completely happy how things are?
At the end of the day, I can’t deny anymore this is something I really want, but is it worth the effort?
TLDR: I have a girlfriend and a close best friend but I’d like a girlfriend and a queer-platonic partner. Is the (relatively small) change worth the effort?
