I was curious about how y'all figured out that you were aromantic, because looking back at some things I did and still do, kinda makes sense.
I first thought I was bisexual (before I was sexually active) because I didn't feel different attractions to any gender. Just "oh, they're cute and nice, I like them lots." But at the same time, I was terrified of relationships progressing passed friendships until I was in college. Like when I was 13 I threatened to punch someone when they asked me out on a date. I was the epitome of couth and tact as a teen. I also got grossed out by romantic PDA, like people telling their partners "I love you." I still feel weird with romance, and I'm so lucky that my partners (polyfam, what's good!) Are really understanding and supportive.
