Do we hate the Army, or do we hate what it says and does?
Been in for almost 2 years now. I literally can’t wrap my head around the whole “just do the damn thing” culture, mainly when it doesn’t make sense. You can’t blame me for asking “Why do NCO’s and O’s make problems more complicated than it is?”
Simple problems only need simple solutions. I’ve seen a lot of simple problems become more complicated than it is because of the culture NCO’s and O’s allow to persist. And from what I’ve seen, it makes people like me disgruntled because I can literally come up with a solution by thinking for less than 30 seconds. So why make things harder than it really is.
This is one of the many issues of why I’ve seen people say “fuck the Army.” It’s also probably one of the reasons why people choose to leave. It literally gives them a chance to think with real logic again rather than mess with their heads. Now it’s costing the Army a lot more than they thought, and higher ups are doing little to stop it.
Sorry for all that, but it’s just my thought process.
Edit: I spelled “hear” wrong. Don’t know how to edit the title. Probably can’t.
