Or; post #2 my brain feels like electric boogaloo Well guys, I just did it. I just Swore in after 16 years of daydreaming. I wanted to say thank you to everyone on this subreddit for all the words of encouragement. I tried to respond to them all but it got away from me a little bit. If I did not respond I apologize and thank you again. My MOS list was shorter than I'd hoped for, but my dream "cool guy" job was there so I took it. In 5 weeks I'll be shipping off to the Benning school for wayward boys to 19K OSUT. 3 year contract with 25k bonus. They offered guaranteed first duty station but the only things on it were Irwin, Bliss, and Riley, and "anything except California" wasn't an option so I didn't really care and went needs of the Army. Hope to land a Cavalry unit and get a cool hat that keeps the rain off my face. Thank you again to everyone for their kind words and encouragement.
