Backstory: I recently passed the E-5 promotion board and I am attending BLC. I had all the intentions on ETSing and now I feel like I may want to stick it out. My window is closing, so my only real possibility is to extend right now.
I am a Geo-Bachelor and this is where the issue is. My wife has told me that if I reenlist or even think about staying in she will divorce me. I love my wife, but finally found something I am good at and would like to stick it out a little longer. There are goals and positions I have not reached yet.
I honestly don't know what to do. She has a very good paying job (physical therapist and I know she can work on post or hospital) as to why she is not with me. I would love to extend and have her join me for another year where I am. But she is insistent on staying put and me getting out.
Has anyone had issues like this with their spouse? What should I do? How do I convince her to let me stay in? And if I do call her bluff and she threatens me with a divorce is the Army really worth it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated..I am very lost and its starting to really take its toll.
