Hey everyone, just a quick question I have. I serve in the CA National Guard and started my first semester of college with the Montgomery bill. 2 weeks into my semester I find out that my unit is deploying, and the schedule of drill dates that I was issued made it impossible for me to complete the semester, so I had to get my admission differed to a different term. Now that I have a deployment under my belt I found out that I’m eligible for 60% of the GI bill, which I’d way rather take then the Montgomery bill. I’m still currently on the deployment but getting ready to go back home and start school. So is it possible to change the benefits I used from Montgomery to post 9/11 (since I was only at the school for like 2 weeks I don’t even think the school received 1 payment from the military), and if so, how can I do that? Thank you!
