Rigging part of a Helmet

Is it possible part of a helmet model move independently of the players head? I am working on a scifi helmet model, where part of the helmet is a flexible pipe connecting the helmet to the backpack. Is it possible to add rigging to the helmet model, such that one end of the pipe remains in a fixed location relative to the player (a specific point on the back), while the other end is fixed to the player's head, and the middle of the pipe flexes and bends and the player's head moves?
