Saturday night is another go-around for our Tandy Hills star party! Last month was clouded out, but Saturday night should be clear.
It has been more than a year and a half since our last public star party. Since that time, virtual star parties have been taking up the slack, but there's still no experience quite like looking through a telescope and seeing images for yourself through the eyepiece.
Masks will be optional but recommended. Telescope eyepieces will be sanitized after each person.
Sunset is after 8:30, but moon viewing should start around 7:30-8pm.
It will be HOT. Please keep that in mind and bring plenty of water with you. There is a port-a-potti at the playground. ALSO, be prepared for the mosquitoes, and bring your bug spray.
