The title says what it says. I have a mate who lives in South Arlington 10 min from Mansfield(F, 51) that's going through a rough time. Her mother passed away 2 years ago (Covid) and been rough for her ever since. The roof needs repairing, it needs electrical work, there are leaks in her main water line so the water is currently off. It's bad ladies and gentlemen. I myself try to help mitigate the situation by doing whatever I can for her to relieve stress. I am even currently digging in her yard looking for the leak however to very little luck of finding it. This is actually a move of desperation done on her behalf. It really hurts to see someone suffer all because the one who passed away did not properly prepare, but it's no time for blame games and time for action. Once the probate is complete she will have access to her mothers money (which isn't alot) buy its a start for relief.
Her sister wants her to foreclose and walk away since the house isn't in her name it will not affect her credit. Personally I am unaffected by this, however it is an individual that I care deeply for and I believe during these hard times that we come together to each others aid more than ever. Is waiting for this probate to completely process the only option, I don't think the house will last that long.....let alone her sanity.
Her mother died of COVID 2021 is there anything that she could like "apply" for? Some kind of loop? Are reparations surrounding Covid still a thing? There must be something she can do until this probate process is complete.
Someone must know something....anything. She is desperate.
EDIT: THANK YOU FOR ALL ADVICE AND SUBMISSIONS!! SHE IS OFF TOMORROW AND I WILL HAVE HER READ YOUR COMMEMTS. THANK YOU FELLOW TEXANS, PLESSE KEEP EM COMING!!
