For those of you who don’t know, DS lane heroes got some huge adjustments in the latest patches in the Garena servers. Here’s how I feel about them after playing & playing against these heroes so far:
Zuka:
His laning phase is a LOT better than before, and he can actually somewhat trade during laning now and his mid/late game is even stronger than before with the buff on his ult. He doesn’t need to hit the enemy heroes 5 times to trigger the heal, he just needs to hit the enemy hero ONCE (you’ll see a red bar after you hit the enemy hero) and hit minions afterwards. This buff brings him to a solid B or even A tier IMO, Zuka has always been a strong late game hero, the problem was that he got destroyed in lane by anything that moved – this buff helps him mitigate a lot of that weakness.
His build doesn’t change, you should still build rankbreaker on him.
Amily:
Her laning phase feels even stronger now after the buffs, and the CD reduction on her ult is very nice. However, she was always a strong laner, these buffs don’t really help her overcome her weakness which was lack of dashes to effectively cut into the backline. The extra attack speed is going to be great for jungle Amily players though along with the CD reduction of course. I don’t think her place moved too much within the Dark slayer lane, but we’re definitely going to see more Amily jungle in ranked.
Florentino:
I’m not the greatest Florentino player but his laning phase is still strong, he just clears lane slower than before. His team fight is weaker than before though, have to play more like an assassin now compared to before you can just go in and expect to 1v3. Good Florentino players will still be ok, but bad Florentino players are going to be really bad.
Taara:
Still trash.
Ryoma:
He received some huge buffs, but this just isn’t the right meta for him. It’s still way too easy to delay games to the late game where he becomes kind of useless. I think he might be better suited in the jungle than in lane tbh.
Wonder Woman:
I don’t have her lmao somebody chip in on this.
Superman:
Doesn’t feel TOO different, gonna need some more games to experiment whether if the buffs will allow his flight mode to not get cancelled by certain skills. If you sucked at Superman, you’ll still suck.
Yena:
This is the most controversial one, but it honestly feels like a nerf. There were a few times where I was JUST missing that little bit of damage to kill my opponent, and ended up letting them escape. Good Yena players never had trouble getting to level 4, and the small shield really doesn’t make up for the loss in damage/silence duration IMO. Along with the Rankbreaker nerf she definitely feels weaker than before. With that said she’s still one of the stronger heroes in the DS lane.
Riktor:
Still one of the strongest DS lane heroes, but you can’t just jump in brainlessly anymore and expect to get out of fights alive. With that said, I’ve been building tanky on Riktor for a while now so this hasn’t affected me as much. Support/AD Riktor players are going to feel this nerf though.
Arduin:
Still trash.
Lubu:
The knockup range on his S1 got reduced, you can’t knock up people slightly behind you now. It’s a slight nerf honestly, but I think it’s something that I can get used to.
Keep in mind that this is just my personal opinion based on a handful of games, may or may not be accurate
