As somebody who bought like 3 characters with gold. I kinda regret that now that I get like 1 lvl 3 arcana every 2-3 days.

Here comes the Catch-22. The general consensus is that gold should be used for arcana since it’s a limited source. I take if you’re new so The gold is flowing but once you get past like lvl 20 it drys up, and at 30 is barely a trickle. You can always buy hero’s with money, but not Arcana. So this leaves you with 3 options.

1. Spend all gold on arcana and use money to buy the hero’s you really want. Depends on your situation of course, but most of free hero’s are really good.

2. Get a basic lvl 3 magic page and a basic lvl 3 physical page. and spend some gold on hero’s. Not as strong as option one, but if you’re just in it for fun it’s a viable option.

3. You’re going to pay for hero’s no matter what. You’re either spending time or money. You can just use whatever arcana you get from drops and such and buy hero’s with gold. Just be aware that some hero’s go from great to good based on arcana.

I used to think arcana didn’t matter at all, but I’ve come to realize how powerful it actually is. Arcana can help a character with a weak early game or be used to supplement a certain build. The choice is yours. If I were you and you fit into option 2, I’d buy a hero you really really want to play and then spend the rest building a good arcana page. Just remember a full level 3 arcana page cost 60,000 gold, 6,000 for level 2 and 600 for level 1.

TLDR : Gold comes really fast when you start and dries up fast. You can only buy arcana with gold. Hero’s aren’t free, you’re either spending time or money. The choice is yours.

I wish I could just unlock all hero’s like Smite. Smite even has sales that you can get all hero’s for like $15.
