Getting button to trigger on/off LED blinking

So I have a project that I am tinkering with and one part needs to have a single button, upon first press, activate the flashing of an LED, and then the same button, upon second press, deactivate the flashing.

I already have the button and LEDS programmed to upon press, turn on, and when you stop pressing, it turns off. Just a button acting as a button.

I'm new at learning this and it's a small part in a grandiose project I am working on.

**Also, let me add, I've tried searching for an answer to this on my own, but haven't found a straightforward solution.
