Send Signal to PC from PIR Sensor
Post Body

I am completely new to Arduino, so I apologize if this is a really basic question.

I would like to have a motion sensing device like this one that sends a signal to a PC when motion is detected.

The practical application of this is that I want to use an old laptop to create a photo frame. I want it to wake up and start the slideshow when it detects motion. I'm thinking a USB interface would be ideal.

Can you point me to any resources that would help me accomplish this? I am brand new to arduino (don't even have a board yet) so anything helps. Thanks!
