I'd like to share something. I'm originally from Ecuador but have been living in NYC for a year now. Back in my hometown, I had plenty of friends who were into Arctic Monkeys, and we'd often chat about them while hanging out, drinking, or watching their concerts and clips. However, since moving to NYC almost a year ago, I've found that very few people share my enthusiasm for Arctic Monkeys, which is disappointing. I had hoped to connect with fellow fans here more easily than in Ecuador, but that hasn't been the case.

I've been wondering if there are any events or groups for Arctic Monkeys fans in NYC where fans could meet up and discuss our shared passion, along with other topics. It would be a dream come true to go to a karaoke bar with like-minded people and sing our favorite tunes, like I used to back home. The last person I had a great Arctic Monkeys conversation with was my ex, and since then, I've only met people who prefer more generic music. For example, the last girl I dated, her favorite artist was Ed Sheeran??? and we didn't have much in common musically.
