Saw the band in Manchester last night. I’ve been lucky enough to see them multiple times on each tour since Suck it and See.
My main complaint has been throughout the TBHC tour (and also the first few months of the current tour), is the live show has been searching for its own identity. I believe this is partly due to how incredible the AM shows were. It’s hard to find, for example, an opening track that works better than Do I Wanna Know?
Last night, however, was very different. This show had its own identity and felt like a step away from the last few years.
I’m sure part of this is due to the imminent Glastonbury set. Which will be something to really look forward to given how tight the band were.
Let’s just hope that that 1.5 hour set at glasto is closer to two hours, because there are just too many hits now!
