Because I am difficult to shop for my partner decided to give me some Christmas options. She went out and purchased a Proton LT, Atom LT and Atom AR. Unfortunately I can only keep one...so far I’ve decided to forgo the Proton because I own a Nano air. Now it leaves it up on the Atom AR and LT. But not sure which to get. I actively hike, snowboard, camp and backpack amongst other stuff. For winter i usually layer Beta SV, Nano air, R1/R2 or delta depending on weather and activity and base layers. I also have a Patagonia puffy that use when there is no high put activity. Camping usually a soft shell pant and rain shell depending on weather. Hiking I adjust options depending on weather and duration. Currently live in Colorado. Trying to see if the Atom will be worth keeping and which one? Currently have a winter Iceland trip planned for next winter so lots of hiking, ice caves and what not. Will be using gamma lt pants for this and my shell. Then another snowmobiling tour in Utah for a couple night with some backcountry snowboarding. Where does the Atom fit in for this?
