Edit: I posted the problem on the arch wiki forums and found out that it was dude to massive file system corruption. You can find the post here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2066595
Original post: I get a segmentation fault while booting, there's a blinking _ at top left, lightdm doesn't start since xorg doesn't.
I don't know how I can paste the error backtrace from the tty so I can't post it here, but the Xorg.0.log mentions usr/lib/libc.so.6 (_dl_catch_exception), (_dl_catch_error), (dlerror) and (dlopen)
and usr/lib/libgbm.so.1 (gbm_format_get_name)
a few times.
The log is 25 line long with segmentation fault at 0x7fbb... and Caught signal 11 (Segmentation fault). Server aborting.
I know people can't really do anything without error logs to help me, so if you could tell me a way to post them from the tty, I would try it.
I have tried searching on arch Linux forums, but didn't really find anything which could fix my issue. It has been happening for a while, but after a few reboots it booted perfectly at times, so I couldn't figure if it was a problem or not. Having decided to fix the errors, I'm here.
Thank you.
