Renders inhibit creativity by driving up client expectations to extreme extents without considering actual engineering necessities in the design process. All trades need to work together to deliver beautiful and meaningful architecture.

Oslo resident here, the wavy glass facade was then intent and it won the competition based a lot on that (and it being a mostly vertical museum, which is uncommon)

However the wavy glass facade was really impractical and expensive so they changed it to aluminum, which many believed should of disqualified the project as the it completely changed the appearance from the winning proposal. You can’t just make a cool proposal with fantasy elements to win.

The building it’s self is a huge disappointment, and is generally hated, even the interiors are underwhelming apart from the view from the top
