What combat skill is good for a technology-focused build?

Post Body

I've been too busy debating exactly how I'd like to play until recently, deciding on something that focuses on combat and technology.

The plan is a technologically focused dwarf with Magick Allergy (figured it might be a significant boost to the benefits dwarves already have to Tech skills), with the other focus being on a combat skill or two. But I'm not entirely sure which to pick, Melee is simple and seems to work, Explosives seem decent, and I know Guns have an issue in the early game. Dwarves have a bit of strength already for Melee, but I've heard Dwarf Grenadier is a good class with the Explosives skill (which I believe is a Tech tree). I would imagine that having Melee as a early game/backup to Explosives may be a good route to go too.

But I don't entirely know the viability of everything, so I figured I'd ask here and get some advice.
