The Subreddit Album: Getting into the Important Bit.
Post Body

With the completion of the two polls, we now have our tracklist. But first, let's go over the results of the two polls.

In the poll for the 15th slot, "Keep the Car Running" beat out "We Used to Wait" with 58% of the vote. In the poll deciding which version of "No Cars Go" to use, the Neon Bible version absolutely trounced the EP version. The Neon Bible version received 89% of the vote.

And so, the 16 songs on the /r/ArcadeFire subreddit album will be:

  • Headlights Look Like Diamonds
  • Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)
  • Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
  • Wake Up
  • Rebellion (Lies)
  • Keep the Car Running
  • Intervention
  • (Antichrist Television Blues)
  • No Cars Go
  • My Body is a Cage
  • The Suburbs
  • Ready to Start
  • Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)
  • Reflektor
  • It's Never Over (Hey Orpheus)
  • Afterlife

Now we decide what the order of the tracklist will be. It does not have to be in chronological order. It, in my opinion, shouldn't be; That makes for a boring mix.

Instead, find an order in which the transitions from song to song sound good, or even great. And no: The Suburbs need not immediately precede Ready to Start. The Suburbs into Afterlife, in fact, sounds really good.

So scour the tracklist for great transitions lying in wait, and post your proposed order, and/or comments on one, in the thread.
