Recently, some of us at /r/Coldplay decided to make an album curated by the subreddit. That is, the subreddit voted for the tracklist (which was composed entirely of Coldplay's music), title, artwork, and storyline.
Yes, storyline. It turned out to be great, due in no small part to the fantastic mix by /u/wjw42. I was sitting around work one day, listening to the mix, and wondered if we could do the same for AF's music.
Why am I being so shameless in my admittance that I'm totally ripping this off?
I was involved. My name's on the subreddit's banner and everything. No point in hiding.
Anyway, you can find out the basics of how we did it here.
I realize there are some disparities between AF and Coldplay. Coldplay has a full album more of content, so it's easier to put together a 14-15 song tracklist. I'd imagine we'd get around this by including the EP alongside the studio albums.
My question is: Does the subreddit as a whole think we should do this (Hap-hazard storyline not required)? And would someone skilled in audio production be willing to create a mix for the album?
