Made a sit/stand arcade what do you think?
Post Body

So when this whole corona thing started I lost out on doing my second job which involved trade shows one the weekends. So no big events = extra time for me. I was Really mad and wanted to do something to keep my mind off of the fact i am losing all my extra income now. I had planned to build a arcade this summer and felt that this might be the perfect time for me to try and make it. I love to build stuff. Also love to build computers as my main job working with PC/laptops. Now i had a hair brained idea that i wanted to make a sit/stand arcade that i could pull up to my couch and have it just slide over my coffee table so i could play with friends on the couch. Or if i wanted to stand or use a stool like at the arcade i use to work at as a kid. Yes you heard it right best job ever i worked a summer at a arcade. It was a awesome memory. But back to my story. I know a guy that runs a ophthalmology practice and was swinging by to say hi in the beginning of the year and while we walked around i noticed some stuff in the corner and asked what it was. He said it was a raising desk for one of the instruments that they had sold the instrument but was left with the table. He asked if i wanted it. I plugged it in and it worked. So i brought that home. That was in i think January. I was going to use it for a desk but ended up using it for the base of it. took it apart and then started to think how i could make this work with what i had. Got 2 sheets of MDF 4 x 8 had them pre-cut to a few different sizes at the home depot for free this also helps as i have a compact car so i can get it all home. I then got to work. I had done a lot of research from what controller layout i wanted to the trim i used on it. wanted lots of lights to. I liked the Happ buttons now the joystick i liked the Sanwa . Used all cherry switches. Well i could go on and on i know you just want to see it not hear about it. I will add the pictures now from start to finish and will and more info if people even care. Hope you enjoy.

storage box for the controllers lights up when you open it in case the room is dark.
