Anyone SRT with a Wrench and ZigZag?

Noticed the wrench doesn't catch occasionally on descend. Not the end of world, but could end in some bruises when limb walking if you are expecting friction.
Also, there's so much back and forth on the indications for the ZZ - SRT, with a wrench, etc - looking for actual experience for a reason not to use a wrench with the ZZ? Or SRT for that matter?
I'm single with no kids so don't give me the lawsuit BS.when I die.... Experienced and looking for the most attractive setup, all things considered.
