Is this River Birch plotting destruction?

I have these river birches which smoky provide shade and cover.
This one branch is stressing me out a bit. It’s extending horizontally about 35’ and I’m assuming it’s going to break off and destroy some cars.
Would you chop the limb down with urgency? To be honest, I really value the shade and cover. However, it’s growing so vigorously that I feel like it’s beginning to defy physics.
