Aspen help
Post Body

I have a young Aspen tree, winter damage caused some of the branches on the top to break or dry off, there’s a lot of lush growth coming from lower branches, the main trunk is free of foliage, I trimmed bad branches about a month ago. When I nick the bark it’s still green underneath. Should I leave it be and hope that new branches emerge? Should I trim the main trunk and let the middle one become the new main leader?
