How to deal with splintered treetops.
Post Body
Had a terrible derecho wind storm a few weeks ago west of Houston. Lost a lot of trees and major limbs. This large post oak is in our courtyard. Lost three very large limbs. I finally got it all cleared away. Iโm wondering what to do with these two mangled stubs. Should I just leave them alone? Or cut them off flush? We donโt want to lose the tree due to disease. They are too high for me to cut safely. I would have to hire service.
