Can I severely prune this? Trying to grow a bonsai patio aspen.

Maybe bonsai is the wrong term. Iām basically looking to trim it constantly to grow it as a patio tree. I live in a condo and I LOVE aspens, so Iām hoping to just keep it small and more of a shrub on my deck.
