Hey guys. New to the AR platform. Been an AK guy most of my life. My wife was being nice and ordered me a side charging upper from BCA. Since I am an avid 7.62 x 39 shooter she was trying to get me something that I can build with the ammo I already have. I looked up a few reviews on it and was kinda disappointed. Has anyone had any experience with them? I am assuming I will have to swap some stuff out to make it run reliably. Any thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to trash this build since it was a gift. I am assuming a beefier firing pin and decent mags would be proprietary. And possibly some gas tuning as well. What do you guys think?
I should also mention that I am running all steel case ammo... I know I know you can fight me over it lol
