I've been working on an FDE 12.5" pistol build and recently snagged a 12" Midwest Industries FDE rail for a good price.
Unfortunately I didn't realize the rail was actually 12.5" so it looks like the threads of the barrel will be recessed in the handguard. I plan on getting a Ballistic advantage 12.5" barrel and attempting to use a slim line flash can.
I've never used one, but have heard they push all the blast and noise downrange. And that they increase felt recoil. Obviously I'm not too concerned about 5.56 recoil but I still want it to be pleasant to shoot.
Basically what I'm asking is if they increase muzzle rise and recoil.
Thank you.
