I currently have a BCM 16” with a carbine gas system. I know these tend to be a bit over gassed. It does seem like it has some pretty violent recoil. I want to retain reliability in somewhat adverse conditions but I want to smooth out the recoil and prevent some premature wear and tear.
I know the a5 is a proven system and I’m leaning towards that. I also like the LMT enhanced bolt carrier. I would obviously like the bolt as well but the carrier is a little easier to find. I just recently found out about the brt eztune gas tube and cutting down the pressure at the source seems like a good solution too. What would y’all recommend? Would all 3 be too much? And if not what would you get first or what combination of the 3 would you recommend?
Please no “Adjustable gas block or Adjustable BCG” I want to keep my pinned FSB and I don’t like the added complexity. I wanna keep it simple and reliable.
