Hey all, I recently picked up this new offering from Triggertech and thought Iād do a quick write up since information on this trigger is very limited.
I heard good things about the higher end TT triggers and when I saw this new offering on sale for $110 through Palmetto State Armory i was intrigued. The pricing is comparable to the infamous internet favorite the Larue- MBT-2S which I also own. While I do enjoy the Larue trigger, especially on my rifles with longer barrels and magnification, I wanted something different intended for closer ranges that I could run faster. Enter the Triggertech Duty 3.5 Lb trigger. Marketed as a more reliable drop in with a stronger reset than some of their other offerings, this trigger certainly exceeded my expectation! In my opinion, especially at the sale price I received it for, it is worth every penny! The take up and creep is non-existent. I mean that literally. 0% take up. 0% creep. Just a wall with a very crisp and satisfying break. The break on this trigger is comparable to the Larue MBT-2S and Iād argue slightly better. The reset is fairly short, strong, and smooth. Which makes follow up shots VERY easy. My biggest concern with the trigger was the nature of drop in trigger pins and their ability to walk themselves out. However, this concern was alleviated with the TT duty utilizing some cool friction lock in system using a provided Allen key. The trigger pins have not moved at all through 300 rounds of use. Overall, I am very happy with this trigger and it has fit the bill perfectly for what I was looking for. A solid reliable single stage trigger that can be ran fast. I will continue to run this trigger on my sbr which is where I think this trigger shines. If you have any follow up questions feel free to ask! Thanks for reading!
