Is an outside tank during summer ok?

I have a 55 gallon tank that I'm resealing. I had a leak last year and it caused such a mess. I don't want to go through that again. I'm terrified everytime I go to my fish room that it'll be flooded lol

So after I seal this other tank. I had a thought about putting it outside on our back porch. It'd be a 55g with just bristlenose plecos. I was thinking about buying a powerful heater incase it gets cold. We are starting our warmer months now so head shouldn't be an issue. Has anyone done this? Positive and negative experiences welcome! As well as advice!
