How much water should be in a NFT rail? Idk if it should be like a 1/8 inch or a 1/4 inch. Or do I want it angled enough to where the bottom looks dry but stays wet? I know I don’t want it to pool up. I really don’t know and trying to find reliable info isn’t easy in this department.

Nitrite question - we have. 70k gallon system with 9 month old fish in it - notice an uptick in nitrite the last three weeks. Added more media and running 9-10 DO levels - temp is 14c constant with 800 gpm of flow - any ideas on why nitrite is suddenly staying high?
