For the new moon I decided to actually dedicate myself to being a witch. I wrote two spells, one was a ritual shower for myself then the other was a debt banishing/money spell.
I've spent the last month or so reading, studying, listening to videos/podcasts and worked my way through r/30daywitch which is incredible and I can't wait for her to release her book.
I've been doing tarot readings, which have been eerily accurate a few times, I've meditated, thanked the god, goddess and universe for my blessings, set up a space for my housewight to live and communicate with me, I've started living with intention and my days are so much brighter and happier now.
So yeah, the spellwork was a really nice, peaceful way to spend the night and focus on myself and what I want. My husband is beyond supportive, asking me if I need anything and letting me have my space when I need to center and ground.
My cats even helped a bit.
So now it's just a matter of letting the energy go and being my witchy self, study more, learn all I can and just be. It's very rewarding.
An unexpected side effect of my study and focus this last little bit has taken my mind off of drinking which was becoming a crutch to me when I have rough days. But now I meditate or read instead, it may be replacing one obsession with another but they don't have AA for over readers. xD
Anyway, I just figured I'd put this down somewhere as a sort of celebration and putting it out to my other beginner witches. Don't question your path, sometimes doing is the right thing, if it feels right to you, do it. I believe in your magic.
