Iâm sorry for the language but this episode Deon the start was bullshit. It couldâve been great but sunk like the Lusitania. Iâll explain.
Everyone knew Phil had to be PM for this task. When Flo very clearly couldâve been an excellent rival to Phil Lord Sugar instead decided to switch Tre onto the other team for⌠reasons? Ruining the dominating teams dynamic. Forcing the PM of the task (no matter who) to be in a field of which they have no knowledge, with a small team, having to choose between having a shit brand or a shit product - no matter what with only one person on a team division the result will be polarising because itâs created from only one perspective: look at the graphics designer working with Foluso⌠almost robotic. Whatâs the point nowadays with AI?
It was Philâs week to go. Philâs business is a food business and I present a crucial fact; for the second time this season Phil is responsible for a product that doesnât taste as advertised. Surely this is grounds for firing. Anyway, Phil creates a product that is marketable and palletable. Congratulations you did the bare minimum in a food task! You get your first win of the season.
At this point I think production just wanted to get rid of Foluso. Is it racism? Maybe. Is it a conclusion thatâs been seeded by production for the past 6 weeks that they havenât had the opportunity to exercise because she keeps contributing to a winning team. Yes. How do I know? Because Lord Sugar fired her on the spot without bringing her into the final boardroom.
In the final boardroom, Lord Sugar pretty much states âyouâre both shit at making food. Tell me why I should invest in your businessâ. Last I checked for both candidates this is a very tenuous link. Moreover isnât that the point of the interviews?
To summarise, this week they have fired a candidate out of pure racism. They fired a candidate because they just outright couldnât be bothered to give them screen time during the interviews, all in order to push forward an âunderdogâ candidate who doesnât make waves in his own field. Consider me uninvested. Thank you for the opportunity. And long live Baroness Karen Brady
