LG Front Load cracked rear tub assembly.

I have a cracked rear tub assembly that is leaking. I was quoted over $400 for the part. Will Flexiseal work or is there some kind of compound especially for these types of appliance repairs? It looked like there was a possible repair to the drum before with some type of clear and hard glue.
