This is an odd one, washing machine gets warm but not hot water

I have an older Maytag stacked unit, the LSG 7806AAE, and according to a few repairmen that have serviced it over the years, it is a great, reliable unit. For about 3 weeks now, when I select the hot water wash cycle, it only comes out cold, but when I select warm, the water is warm. From a quick google search, it seems a clogged screen or bad inlet valve solenoid could cause this, but I also would not be getting any warm water at all. All the other faucets in the house get hot water as well. Any common culprits to look out for?
