Kenmore washer not advancing cycle and tripping breaker.

Post Body

Hi all! Currently I am working on my Kenmore washer model number 11024982300. My first issue with the machine is one evening I noticed the timer would not advance to the off stage after spinning. The machine will stop, start and drain when set in that specific mode. When I start a new cycle it will fill with water and begin to run then trip the breaker for the laundry room.

As of now I have checked all hoses for blockages. Removing some obstruction from the pump. I have checked for leaks and not noticed anything underneath the machine. I have tested the plug with a tea kettle to check it it would trip.

My main question would be is can a bad timer be causing all of these symptoms? Or might it be multiple issues?

Thanks for your help!
