Fridge struggling to stay cold.

Whirlpool WRT138FZDW00.

Took the cover off in the freezer and it’s all frozen up, defrost it and three days later it’s frozen again. Fridge has diagnostics mode and it came back with no problems. Defroster works in diagnostics mode. Took out the thermistors and tested for continuity, all were within range. Could the defroster work but something in the control board stop it from turning on automatically? I’m at a loss. Any ideas? Edit - cleaned the condenser fan and coils. Evaporator fan blows strong as well.
