Summit fridge high pitched noise
Post Body

VIDEO: https://streamable.com/q0v0lk

I’m heating a high pitched noise coming from my fridge. It’s a Summit in a small apartment. No frost. The logo looks older so I’m guessing it’s over 10 years old.

The kicker is that I asked my landlord to replace my previous fridge already (also a Summit) because this sound was even louder. This one isn’t quite as loud but it’s still there :/

It seems like it’s coming from the compressor in the back. What do you think it could be?

Is there anything to be done about this? The landlord was going to order a new fridge but it was back ordered so he gave me this one instead. And the problem is still there :/

Do you think a new one could have this issue too? Or is it more an old compressor thing?

I’ve never had a fridge that made this noise before :(
