Dishwasher Setup in industrial Loft, pump working in 3 second pulses?
Post Body

Hey folks,
I'm in a bit of a bind with my new second-hand dishwasher in my industrial loft. Had to place it about 6-7 ft away from the sink (no other choice, bad kitchen setup). Got an extender for the drain pipe but first run had no drainage. The water didn't push through the first 4 ft incline into the extension pipe.
I took it apart, made sure filter was fine (clean) and pump & pipe had no abstractions (all clear).

Tested the pump and hose with a bucket - works fine.

Took the pump apart, left power on, and ran a drainage cycle - pump seems to work fine, in 3 second pulses. meaning the little fan thingy runs for 3 seconds - then off, then runs, then off.

is this normal work of the pump or means it's weak/needs to replaced? or is my drain just too much for any pump?

Thanks a bunch, this forum is truly great !!
