HDR or SDR?

I have a new 4K Apple TV. From what I can gather, it seems like a majority of folks use SDR, is that fair to say? SDR (with dynamic match on) seems to be fine for me, but certain shows or sports I can swear look better in HDR. You'd think then why not just leave HDR on all the time. Well HDR (with Dynamic match on) brings with it another problem where I constantly get a black loading type of screen anytime I go in or out of apps. It is ridiculously annoying. Any advice from the pros?
