As a linux/android guy I think most of the apple products are overpriced shit. I mean ipads are great if you are an artist or want to take notes they are quite cheap. On the other hand iphones are so expensive and they are locked and not customizable and they feel like they are not yours. Apple enjoyers say look how fast an app can download and when I show them my 5 years old cheap rooted xiaomi redmi note 9 with custom rom that works perfectly, they are like complaining about that it has bad camera and stuff like that. And then they are using instagram on their ipad but ipados can't display it on fullscreen and it has bad scaling. And who would buy the apple monitor stand pro max ultra for like 1500 usd that can't even tilt or something! wtf apple! I fucking hate it and when I came across this subreddit, I've had to leave a angry post here
Edit: Just saying
You can customize every app on an iPhone. I've done it. It takes a little time but you can do it.
iOS runs so much more effectively and efficiently than android. Androids are the phone equivalent of Dell computers. After a year, the slow to unusable speeds. My iPhone 12 Pro Max still runs like the day I got it 4-5 years ago.
Not to mention, iOS is so much more esthetically pleasing than android.

I see no difference with the update to iOS 18, at least in terms of battery life. I'm sure if it's an ongoing, wide spread issue they'll update with the next round.
