Second hand iMac can’t boot into recovery mode

Post Body

Ok, I’ll try to be concise and detailed. I got a 2011 iMac from the recycling center. It has Windows 7 installed through Boot Camp.

Admin lock on Windows and Mac OSX. I can access osx through a guest account, but obviously can’t make any changes.

It is set to go to Windows by default. Holding down option r while starting it up goes into Windows Safe Mode.

Holding option during startup allows me to choose an OS, and when I select recovery, it is painfully slow. It’s been nearly 45 minutes and the progress bar is at the halfway point still.

I have no idea what to do. I guess I could just browse the web as a guest, but is there any other options or ways to get into recovery mode?
