Recently I dropped my AirPods pro case (with earbuds inside). There was no visible damage to case so I assumed everything was fine however when I went to use them later that day the case completely dead so I wasn't able to pair it to my phone. I charged it up that night and when I tried to use them the next day but it was dead again. After a whole lot of messing around with it I came to realize that the reason it kept dying was that the case won't recognize that it's closed and so it tries pairing all day long. If its anywhere close to my phone the pairing screen pops up on my phone (while the case is closed). It also fails to successfully pair to my phone whether open or closed.
Anyone heard of this before? Any ideas to try to fix it? Keep in mind resetting the AirPods isn't an option as they refuse to connect.
