I'm having a weird issue with this Mac Pro 2013, while booting regularly within 20-30 seconds, it appears to have shutdown / sleep. Light on the back is still on, mouse/keyboard lights are still on, but when trying to wake it up nothing happens.
If I boot in Safe Mode, it will stay on forever (left it on over last weekend, no issues). I have tried resetting the SMC, NVRAM, uninstalling a couple programs, updating the OS (currently on El Capitan 10.11.6), trying to open a terminal session and running the caffeinate command. None of these have worked so far when booting in regular mode.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Edit: 10/29/19 - I reinstalled Mac OS X which did not help. However when I booted into safe mode, I installed/updated to macOS Catalina. This ultimately ended up fixing my problem.
