Hello!
My GPS on my iPhone 6 sporadically "goes out." It stops live updating and starts updating once a minute. It gives me an area of probably close to a half-mile radius sometimes. My uncle is an amateur "phone-fixer" and has replaced many iPhone screens, samsung screens, phone batteries, and the like and took a look at it. I told him that there was a radio antenna thing (that has the wifi and GPS on it) that has been going out frequently in other phones and that maybe it was that. Sometimes my wifi doesn't work either, but I barely notice because I don't use it much, and it could be the service. That's ehy I thought it was that antenna part. He thought maybe when I had dropped my phone previously (there was a dent where the speaker is from falling on a pebble), the contrecoup blow had damaged the circuitboard for the GPS, but didn't see any visible damage. He fixed the dents and then gave it back to me saying there was nothing he could do about it and that it should work fine but I'm still experiencing the issues. The other weird thing is that it's intermittent.
I think I might take it in to the apple store, but I don't have a warranty and was wondering if anyone else might have a clue what's going on?
