Battery calibration?

Hey, guys! After a careful consideration I got myself a 64 GB iPhone SE (was gonna get a 5s, but luckily decided against it).
I love the phone and all of its features, but I noticed a lot of people talking about battery calibration (using your phone till it reaches 0% and then charging it all the way to 100% once a month). Is that really necessary or not? Thanks in advance!
